Donnelle Keech

Donnelle Keech is Forest Program Director for the MD/DC Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, a global science-based conservation organization that works in all 50 states and 79 countries to create a world where people and nature thrive together.  Donnelle has led The Nature Conservancy’s work in western Maryland since 2001, including initiatives to improve public land management and conserve forests for recreation, clean water and wildlife.  In addition to directing the Conservancy’s Forest Program in Maryland, Donnelle also leads multi-state projects to conserve forests for nature and people in the Appalachian region. 

Donnelle is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Allegany! and currently serves on the Steering Committee.  She is an active member of the state-wide Sustainable Forestry Council, the Allegany County Branch of the NAACP, and the Citizen Advisory Committee for Green Ridge State Forest.  Her past service includes Allegany County Forestry Board and Maryland Forests Association.  Donnelle lives in Cumberland with her husband and two sons.
