Dr. Kim Kalbaugh
Dr. Kim Kalbaugh is the Chief Academic Officer for Allegany County Public Schools. Dr. Kalbaugh provides leadership, direction, and supervision in the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of curriculum and instruction. Dr. Kalbaugh is passionate about developing innovative programs and learning experiences for students. Dr. Kalbaugh has worked in the Allegany County Public Schools since 1988. She began her career as an English and journalism teacher at the Center for Career and Technical Education. She also served as an assistant principal at Fort Hill High School and as a principal at Washington Middle School.
Dr. Kalbaugh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education at Frostburg State University. She earned a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision at Frostburg State University. In 2012, she earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration, with a minor in Technology, at West Virginia University.
Dr. Kalbaugh serves the community in various capacities including the Greater Cumberland Committee Education Workgroup, the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, the Bridges to Opportunity Steering Committee, the Local Management Board, the Allegany County Building Trades Foundation, and the Local CTE Advisory Council. She is the Co-Chair of the P-20 Education Committee, a Board Member for the Cumberland YMCA, and a Board Member for the Western Maryland Food Bank.
